The moment has come, and we announce the new, long planned release. Yes, Possession stopped it's operations as record label, but 2 years ago we said that still few albums left to release. Now it's time to keep up to the promise.
We are talking about the new album of Hungarian DUSK "To Become Darker than Darkness". It should have been released in the end of 2019, but the first print run was defective, the factory denied to make a reprint, and then the pandemia came. Therefore, it comes out only now, despite everything that happens in Belarus - we just can't allow another delay!
"To Become Darker than Darkness" is a great example of true Black Metal. Bare, but self-sufficient record, filled with boundless rage and intransigence. No fucking compromises! Total rebellion against human!

Sørbyen, c'est un recueil de complaintes d'un éternel inadapté ; la pause clope tranquille se fait seul : netra tourne le dos à la ville et son accoutrement fait tâche dans ce paysage neigeux. La musique est à l'image de la pochette : plus calme, certes, mais à part, aliénée et on ne s'y sent jamais chez soi. Le trip-hop ne transmet aucune chaleur ; le black metal est souvent accompagné de chants folk mais déprime encore plus ; la techno ne donne pas envie de bouger. La douleur est viscérale...

Faire passer le black par un équipement daté pour rendre le son brut de décoffrage, j'ai longtemps pensé que c'était Staurophagia le maître en la matière mais Obsidian Tongue l'a fait avant lui et tout aussi bien dans son premier opus, Volume I: Subradiant Architecture. On se retrouve ainsi avec un black metal qui rend hommage à l'école norvégienne, entre poésie ésotérique ("Approaching the Well", "It Dangles from the Bones") et guitares furieuses, mais il est aussi très moderne. Un bon album !
